Dashboards
A perfect finish underlines the value of an automobile. For dashboards, which are always within the driver’s view, this is especially true. For the production of complex three-dimensional dashboards, KSL developed the world’s first two-needle chain stitch sewing unit with post bed in just three months. The robot-controlled sewing head easily follows the curves of the material and applies assembly, joining or ornamental seams. Even difficult edges and undercuts are reached by this technology. Via a pre-scan, the course of the seam can even be adapted individually to the specific part.
With this innovative 3D technology, also door liners, instrument panels, centre consoles and further components of a car’s interior fittings can be produced – reproducibly and in unparalleled quality. |
